The Faculty of Physics and Astronomy at the University of Wroclaw offers
interesting series of lectures for schoolboys/schoolgirls and open audience.
The main goal of these presentations is to make science developed at the faculty
and science in general more close for potentially interested people. There are two
main general topics:
- Lectures with demonstrations. Very popular shows with
an attractive live experimental demonstrations of physical laws. It has very big
impact on the young people imagination. Also lectures without demonstrations
given within this series are very popular, due to the very didactic way of
presentation. Actual info about the
lectures with demonstrations.
- Informatics for the high school students at the Faculty.
The main idea of this special cycle of lectures is to show the application
of computers in solving the practical problems (not only related to physics).
Popularity of this series is related to the professionalism of our lecturers,
who frequently are very young (not surprising at all in the programming area).
It is also a big demand in young generation of such type of knowledge.
