The life is not only about work and studying. Moreover, the way you spend your free time may result in your achievements at study and work. We recognize this fact and there are several touristic and sportive events supported by the faculty.

• Football match . Students - Scientific Staff. It takes place since 2003 in May at the stadium at the GEM Hotel sport facilities area. After the match players and supporters enjoy a grill-party. The results of match:
  Edition 2003 - 6:3 (for students)
  Edition 2004 - 0:3 (for staff)

• The Faculty Table Tennis Dean's Cup . Students - Scientific Staff. Every year since 2004. In 2005 it was in March at the main building of the Faculty. Despite the fact that table tennis is popular among our scientific staff, in both editions the winner was from the students side.
• Astronomers Trekking. Since 2001. Twice a year: spring and autumn. This event is opened and people from other departments are also invited to participate. It has a nice motto: "Per montes ad astra". Recreation and integration of people enjoying the active way of living and the beauty of the Sudety/Karpaty mountains is the main idea behind this attractive event. You can find more on this page.
