The Faculty of Physics and Astronomy at the University of Wroclaw is a dynamic modern institution with long tradition. Among many famous past members of the Faculty there are also the Nobel Price laureates. Great past and good tradition is one aspect of quality but more important now are the present activities in scientific research, education and active participation in our region development.

Our faculty provides high quality education for young people interested in physics, astronomy, what is obvious, but also we provide studies in the area of computer physics, econophysics and medical physics.

We offer young people interesting courses given by active scientists with excellent qualifications. Faculty mini-campus is located in the center of the city and gives good material base for studying and living.

People who were studying at our faculty or were its members now work in many places of the world: Australia, Canada, Belgium, Germany, United Kingdom, USA. They work not only in universities or for scientific or educational bodys, but also for engineering firms, financial organizations, banks, medical institutions, computer firms including Microsoft.
